Andrew Jang brings multi-disciplinary experience across corporate finance, accounting, venture capital, and M&A, offering a global, numbers-first perspective on private markets. At Markle Financial, he leads alternative investments and finance, overseeing strategy, diligence, and execution across complex investment structures.

Andrew began his career at KPMG in Audit & Advisory within the Financial Institutions Group, advising major banks, asset managers, and investment firms. He later joined the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP), a $250 billion global pension fund, where he was the first external hire to its newly formed Venture & Growth Equity team. In that role, he helped build the group’s core investment processes and infrastructure and led fintech investments across North America, managing diligence and execution for a $7 billion venture and growth equity portfolio. Through OTPP, he partnered directly with top-tier venture capital firms including Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia, and Union Square Ventures, and worked alongside category-defining companies such as SpaceX, Canva, and Tencent.

Prior to OTPP, Andrew served as an Investment Banking Associate at National Bank of Canada, advising public companies on mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and equity and debt financings across diversified industries.

In parallel with his institutional experience, Andrew has advised and mentored startup founders and investors across the San Francisco Bay Area and New York, supporting early-stage companies on fundraising strategy, capital planning, and go-to-market execution. His career bridges institutional investing, operational finance, and capital-markets execution, giving him a holistic view of how private and public markets intersect.

Andrew earned his Honors Business Administration (HBA) with Distinction from the Ivey Business School at Western University, specializing in Finance and Accounting, and holds the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, startups, and digital minimalism, and is rarely far from a cup of yerba maté.
